About Us
I Choose Life is a charity group of professionals and volunteers who have come together to raise funds to help those facing hardships, for example, unemployment, financial difficulties, depression and addiction. These social issues are a reality for many people living in Australia today. In addition, these social issues can often spark a never-ending cycle for many generations. This organisation seeks to break this cycle, make a difference for these individuals and create change for the future.

Hardship in Australia
Australia’s unemployment rate very recently rose from 5.8 per cent to 5.6 per cent. This has resulted from a decrease in workforce participation, weak job creation and the ageing population. In addition, according to the Poverty in Australia Report 2012, 12.8 per cent of all Australians are living below the poverty line. Along with unemployment comes other social issues, namely, financial hardship and depression. These issues are a very real part of our society. 3 million Australians are living with depression and anxiety.
Mission
The purposes of this association are to:
- Assist persons suffering from financial hardship due to unemployment by providing them with financial assistance or goods to meet their living expenses and living needs.
The rate of unemployment is increasing Australia and is therefore, becoming an ever-growing and ever-present issue in our society…
